Trace California’s wine making back 100 years and you’ll find its roots are in SoMa—not Sonoma or even Napa. You see, whilst Isadora Duncan adorned the Market street stage and Jack London immortalized the working man in South of the Slot; SoMa’s vintners created their own works of art—in bottles. Sadly, SOMA’s renaissance ended in the fiery aftermath of 1906 earthquake. And the 21st amendment quenched all desire to rebuild. Until now.
Introducing Bluxome Street Winery. Open noon to 7pm Tuesday through Sunday. Give us your email address and we’ll let you know all the good news about Bluxome Street Winery.
We’re growers (yes, we have our own vineyard). We’re vintners. But we don’t just make wine. We craft it. Our focus is on palate-friendly, ageworthy Pinot Noir and what we call the distinct Bluxome Sauvignon Blanc.
All the fruit for our wines is sourced from cool climate regions within 100 miles of San Francisco, because those are what we believe produce the best, most captivating wines.
Our tasting room harkens back to a time when the likes of Jack London mingled with legislators and laborers alike, shoulder to shoulder at the “local”. At Bluxome, the décor is warm. The welcome authentic. And as you drink-in the moment, you can gaze out from our tasting room into our working winery. A place of craftsmanship, industry, and even a little alchemy.

Undefinable and unforgettable. Our event space spends a good measure of its life as a working winery. Yet with a little effort and skillful mastery, our work area metamorphoses into a kingly event space complete with all the creature comforts. Jack London regaled millions with his tales of this storied part of town, but ultimately, our name says it all. The Bluxome Street Winery is located, where else but on Bluxome Street, at number 53. Perfectly situated in that foggy midpoint between the ballpark and the local business boom. Close enough to visit at lunch, yet miles from the everyday.
We’re working on our online cart and apologize for the old-fangled way we’re selling wines in the interim.
